I started out my art experience studying Fine Art in GMIT Galway, which is mainly the reason I returned here. While I was working as an airbrush sprayer in Shannon, my home town, I had begun selling flash designs to tattoo shops in Limerick. Then I was offered a full tattoo apprenticeship. From here I went on to open my own studio in Ennis which I ran for around 7 years, the original A.W.O.L. I then emigrated to Canada for 7 years where I worked in a couple of different studios before settling into Sinkin’ Ink, Hamilton. Working there rekindled my love for traditional tattoos.
