Joe Myler realized that he had found his calling in life having fallen in love with tattooing at 14. In 1989 he opened the JMD's Bodyart shop in Waterford's city centre. Business soon flourished with Joe tattooing and his wife Michelle becoming a professional body piercer. As the quality of the work improved, Joe's status as one of Ireland's best tattoo artists also grew. With a reputation built on recommendations, regular customers now make up a large portion of the studio's bustling trade.
