My name is Fergus (Gus) Cullen and I am the owner and operator of Cuchulainn Dundalk Tattoo studio. I studied Classical Animation in Senior College Ballyfermot in the 1990s and worked at web design and special effects as far afield as Pittsburgh in the United States. I have a passion for drawing and painting and also dabble a little in music.

I met a tattooist by chance in 2001 and he offered me the chance to train under him so I took the chance and have been involved in the tattoo business ever since. I opened my Dundalk tattoo studio after he left in 2003 and have been tattooing almost every day since.

I like to think of myself as an all rounder not really specialising in any style. I feel I can turn my hand to anything and put my own unique stamp on it. I attend tattoo conventions and also can be found working in other studios around the country. I feel it says a lot when you get asked to work in other shops and I’ve also tattooed other artists and this is also a privilege. My Dundalk tattoo studio is an upstairs private tattoo studio as I’ve done the whole downstairs street-shop thing and I prefer to work without interruption and I find in most cases the client also feels more at ease when no one is walking in and out while they are having the tattoo done.
